Student Exchanges For SFMS students

The
highlight for 2005
Student Exchanges
was when 13 of our
students went to
Kagoshima, Japan,
for a one-week exchange
programme with Central
High School.
During the one week,
they lived with
their Japanese host
families. In the
morning, our students
learnt Japanese
and joined some
of their classes.
In the afternoon,
Central High School
planned a series
of excursions for
our students to
know more about
Kagoshima.
They attended daily
lessons and put
up an amazing performance
for the whole school
on the last day
of their exchange.
Our students have gained a lot from all these exchanges. We look forward to plan more student exchanges in year 2006!
Student Exchanges For Overseas student

Year 2005 was a very remarkable year for us in terms of international relationships. We welcomed friends from Japan, India and Thailand to our school. Through these exchanges, we forged strong friendships with our new friends. In addition, it exposes us to another culture.

St. Francis has
always believed
that cultural diversity
is the main factor
that sets us apart
from the other schools.
At St. Francis,
you learn how to
be a true “inhabitant”
of the world. You
have to learn how
to interact with
other students whose
culture is totally
different from yours.
Apart from cultural
tolerance, our students
have to learn how
to communicate effectively.
Hence, we have always
valued any chance
of Student Exchanges.
