Bookshop

It is compulsory for all students to buy textbooks for all the subjects they have signed up for during registration. Students should purchase textbooks at the school bookshop located on Level 1. Opening hours are 10.15am to 1.30pm, Monday to Friday (except Thursday).

Canteen

The school canteen, located on Level 1, serves Chinese, Western, Malay and Peranakan food. Opening hours are 7.30am to 3pm daily. It serves breakfast, lunch and snacks for tea-break.

Lockers

Every student has to rent a locker for the duration of his/her time at our school. This will help the student keep any personal belongings that he/she needs on a regular basis.

Library

The library is located on Level 6. Opening hours 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Its collection includes a broad spectrum of books and CD - ROMs comprising encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases and maps, arts, science, literature and many books for reference. A priceless collection of National Geographic, Scientific American and Readers Digest from the year 1947 onwards are just some of the treasures you will find in our library. Our role is to help students and staff explore the information contained in its collections and to enable that knowledge to be applied in the present and future.

IT Lab

The IT Lab is opened to students and staff for use. Opening Hours 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Multi-purpose Hall

The Multipurpose Hall, which can house up to 800 students, serves a variety of functions in the school. Its main usage is for the daily morning assembly and for PE lessons for all our students. Besides that, it is also used for the annual Orientation for new students and formal functions such as Graduation Service and staging of school plays. It also serves as an assembly area for our international summer and winter camp students. Several Co-Curricula Activities (CCAs) such as badminton and table tennis are also conducted in the hall. The hall is open to outsiders for hire to hold retreats and company functions.

Gym

The gymnasium includes the latest exercise and training equipments. Students can enjoy the privilege of using the gym with the permission of the PE teacher.

Classroom

The school has 29 fully air conditioned classrooms equipped with projectors to facilitate effective teaching and to allow for a more innovative learning experience. In 2006, SFMS made the transition to the homeroom system which allows for a sense of ownership over the classrooms for the teachers and encourages greater interaction among our students.

Laboratories

For adequate practical Science sessions, the school boasts modern Chemistry, Physics and Biology laboratories which can each accommodate 30 students comfortably. To integrate Information Technology into the process of teaching and learning Science, an additional Science-IT Lab is available. We take great pride in the design and layout of our laboratories as they have been designed in detailed consultation with our Science Department teachers.

Transport

The school provides a free bus service for students staying in the East, North – East and Northern parts of Singapore, to school in the morning. Pick - up points are Tampines MRT station, Bedok MRT station, Parkway Parade bus stop, Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, opposite Yishun MRT Station, Hougang Interchange, Sengkang Interchange, “The Bencoolen” apartments, Park Mall, Bukit Timah Road and Newton Circus.
