Orientation

To help the students adjust in an overseas setting, St. Francis Methodist School have designed an orientation programme that will help them quickly assimilate into the local environment. Our orientation programme will be the best possible start to students’ academic and social life at the school. It is also an excellent opportunity for students to meet and find out more about the other students in the school as it is usually conducted by School appointed student leaders under the guidance of teachers and staff of St. Francis. At each intake, a series of information services and activities are planned specially designed to assist students to familiarise themselves with life in Singapore and the Singaporean culture.

The orientation programme usually takes up to a maximum of 3 days where it is filled with various ice-breaking and team bonding activities. Talks and seminars on study skills are also conducted as well as familiarising the students on matters such as guardianship, lockers, CCA and study career path. It is hoped that the students will feel more at ease and welcomed after going through our orientation programme.
