Why does SFMS need to charge more than government schools? |
| |
Government schools are heavily subsidised by the government (although the cost of educating a student in a government school, at about S$6000 annually, is broadly similar to our fees). Government schools are therefore able to charge lower fees. We nevertheless offer good value for money, by including courses government schools do not provide, English Academic Programme, London IGCSE, AUSMAT (Year 11 & 12), BTEC Higher National Diploma (Business) and St. Francis Baccalaureate and enrichment activities like Performing Arts, Physical Education and French and Japanese language enrichment. |
|
What is the entrance test based on? |
| |
The entrance test is based on the common syllabus related to the course of study applied for. Level adjustments are made for those intending to come in for lower secondary (Sec 1 & 2) and upper secondary (Sec 3 upwards). The English entrance test will test your basic listening and comprehension skills. (Past papers are not available.) |
