Art Course at Secondary Level

The Secondary Art course exposes students to an exciting journey in drawing and painting using various mediums, appreciation and making of cultural art forms, creative designing and digital media applications. Students can expect several opportunities available to showcase their artistic talents: exhibiting their outstanding artworks around the school, in school newsletters and publicity printouts; stage-decorating for events and preparing souvenir gifts for VIPs; participating in competitions; mural painting projects in school and for community service…etc. The art-making process serves to bring out the artistic and creative potential in every student, while at the same time cultivating perseverance and builds up confidence. The Secondary 4 students will sit for the GCE ‘O’ Level Art Examination (code 6010).

Art Course at Pre-University Level

The Pre-University Art course prepares students to sit for the GCE ‘A’ Level Art Examination (code 9288). It offers advanced drawing and painting in various mediums, creative graphics /interior/environmental/fashion design, and a written paper on Visual and Cultural Studies. Students can expect to perform their artistic skills at a more matured level, gain exposure in various art forms and digital media applications, and have a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Western and Southeast Asian art. They are also given equal opportunities to showcase their talents as above, which are essential for building up their portfolios in artistic development for further tertiary studies.
