In a world awash with courses for the young that promise prestige and advancement, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish the real product from the counterfeits. After all, why not enrol in a course that is less demanding academically, costs less and still get entry to a University?

However, an education is precious and not something to be trifled with. It shapes categories of thought, builds the mental constructs that allow for analysis of issues and sets a moral tone for one’s life. St. Francis Baccalaureate is a broad-based liberal arts program that prepares Pre-University students for University by stressing expression, originality, group work, presentations, assignments, and the ability to articulate one’s thoughts in a comprehensible manner.

The St. Francis Baccalaureate is endorsed by Southwestern College, Kansas, USA and will allow students who pass the program in St. Francis, entry to Southwestern College to complete their studies in a specialist or generalist field.

The curriculum for the St. Francis Baccalaureate is designed by faculty from Southwestern College, a strong liberal arts college, earning top reputation as one of America's Best Colleges year after year. In 2005. In 2005 Nationwide survey, Southwestern students scored higher than its peer schools and higher than bachelor-granting schools nation-wide in active and collaborative learning, student-faculty interaction and supportive campus environment (National Survey of Students Engagement, 2005 Benchmark Report). The duration is 2 years full-time and students need to have obtained 5 ‘O’-Level or equivalent passes to be eligible.

The St. Francis Baccalaureate is different from the International Baccalaureate (IB) because it is American in flavour, broader in coverage and more varied in assessment tools. The IB is European in origin, academically rigorous and assumes a high level of English Language competency.

Creativity is the spark that the global village looks for to ignite innovation and sustain a growth momentum. You cannot go wrong with the St. Francis Baccalaureate - endorsed by a leading private college in USA and delivered by an award-winning private school in Singapore. Most importantly, they are united in the goal to achieve educational excellence that fires the imagination and stirs the soul.
